Yate 2.0.0 alpha 1 released on January 21, 2008. There are many changes in the API and provided modules allowing for more flexibility and further development. There is a brand new stack for PSTN protocols supporting ISDN, SS7 and analog cards. Yate is also moving towards clustering capabilities by providing MGCP support and [[3]] heartbeat support. A new [4] based client improves the look and allows easier development of custom solutions.

Yate 1.3.0 released on September 3, 2007. This release consists mainly of small improvments and minor bug fixes. \\ Many abnormal SIP conditions are better handled to improve interoperability. The supervisor is more forgiving on startup avoiding trashing already overloaded servers. The client interface was also fixed and the ENTER key now defaults to start a new call which gets added to the combo box for quick retrieval. Finally, many debugging messages including SIP and IAX events can be displayed in the client's event window.

Trisys decided to use a Yate based solution using Sangoma hardware. The press release can be found at [Open Source Experts]

Finally, Yate 1.2.0 release on April 14, 2007!!! \\ Added support for Jingle, XML and improved PBX support. \\ Jingle implementation allows Yate to act as an external component for a Jabber server to interconnect with GoogleTalk. The recomanded Jabber server by Null Team is [[4]]. \\ The XML support is based on a modified [[5]], which has been included in the Yate tree. \\ The improved PBX support means: transfer failures are reported to the user, secure access to PBX, flexible configuration. \\ Several bug fixes are also included. See the changelog or the CVS [log] for more details or go directly to the download page.\\ \\ \\ Today September 25, 2006 we released Yate 1.1.0 including a fax channel for Linux, a fax tone detector, routing with fallback from a database. There are also many minor improvements and bug fixes over version 1.0.0 you can find in the changelog. You can get it as usual from the download page in several binary and source formats.

Yate version 1 was released on July 10th, 2006. It includes all the new features developed in the 0.9 series and all the fixes and improvments in a nicer packaging. It also includes the new Yate IAX stack with support for trunking the voice frames and a customizable PBX implementation. Download, install and give it a try.

This is the second year Null Team will be present at [Europe], 15-18 May. Come and visit us at the booth of Sangoma. Diana will take part in "The Open Source Model" session which is between 11:30 - 12:45 on Thursday, May 18.

[[6]] has published an [[7]] about SIP NAT traversal in Yate and Skype.

We recompiled the 0.9.0pre4 binaries for Windows because the old one crashed on any call trough Wanpipe. It seems the Visual Studio damaged some object files by crashing while compiling. You can also download this [built Windows binary] featuring GSM codec and database drivers.

Yate 0.9.0pre4 minor release. The main improvments are in server-side support for [traversal of SIP] and RTP for clients behind NAT. Calls should succeed for any NAT device that does not also block ports by firewall. Some support was also added on the client side (Yate behind NAT) when remote servers require usage of the public IP address.

The CDR times and intervals are now expressed in milliseconds and some abnormal conditions were fixed. Please note that the PHP libraries were upgraded to PHP 5 and are no longer compatible with PHP 4 - a simple sed command is provided to convert them back.

Yate 0.9.0pre3 is available. This minor release fixes a number of small but annoying problems related to building Yate, SIP media and H.323 called number.

Yate 0.9.0pre2 it's available. Added features are iLBC codec and DTMF generation.

After a long wait [[8]] is available. It comprises a lot of improvements starting with a fully rewritten engine, a new [[9]] stack, the Windows port, the conference module, the [[10]] E1/T1 cheap cards support for both Windows and Linux. This new package also contains YateClient which is a multiprotocol [[11]], [[12]] and [[13]] [[14]] client. It requires [[15]] [[16]] for Windows and is fully skinnable.

We added an [[17]] of the mailing list and we are waiting for [[18]] to index it.

Null Team together with Sangoma will be present at [Europe], 24-26 May. Come and visit us at booth 1020. Diana Cionoiu will talk in the "Open Source Telecoms" topic which is between 1.40 - 2.55 pm, May 24th.

Yate version [[21]] has been realeased. We have fixed a bug regarding [=IAXchan=], that has been present in libiax2. We encourage all Yate users to upgrade to this version. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by this bug.

Help needed.\\ Please take a look at Helping Out section.

Yate version 0.8.4 is finally here after 5 months of hard work. Now Yate is a production ready software. It is currently used as a H323/Zaptel PBX for a call center.

We have updated our website. If you have any problems please drop me an e-mail at [[24]]

We've been in Bordeaux, France and we talk about Yate. The slides are [[25]]
