Yate version 1 was released on July 10th, 2006. It includes all the new features developed in the 0.9 series and all the fixes and improvments in a nicer packaging. It also includes the new Yate IAX stack with support for trunking the voice frames and a customizable PBX implementation.

This is the second year Null Team will be present at VON Europe, 15-18 May. Come and visit us at the booth of Sangoma. Diana will take part in "The Open Source Model" session which is between 11:30 - 12:45 on Thursday, May 18.

Freshmeat has published an article about SIP NAT traversal in Yate and Skype.

We recompiled the 0.9.0pre4 binaries for Windows because the old one crashed on any call trough Wanpipe. It seems the Visual Studio damaged some object files by crashing while compiling. You can also download this CVS built Windows binary featuring GSM codec and database drivers.

Yate 0.9.0pre4 minor release. The main improvments are in server-side support for NAT traversal of SIP and RTP for clients behind NAT. Calls should succeed for any NAT device that does not also block ports by firewall. Some support was also added on the client side (Yate behind NAT) when remote servers require usage of the public IP address.

The CDR times and intervals are now expressed in milliseconds and some abnormal conditions were fixed. Please note that the PHP libraries were upgraded to PHP 5 and are no longer compatible with PHP 4 - a simple sed command is provided to convert them back.

Yate 0.9.0pre3 is available. This minor release fixes a number of small but annoying problems related to building Yate, SIP media and H.323 called number.

Yate 0.9.0pre2 it's available. Added features are iLBC codec and DTMF generation.

After a long wait Yate-0.9.0 is available. It comprises a lot of improvements starting with a fully rewritten engine, a new RTP stack, the Windows port, the conference module, the Sangoma E1/T1 cheap cards support for both Windows and Linux. This new package also contains YateClient which is a multiprotocol H.323, SIP and IAX VoIP client. It requires GTK 2.6.8 for Windows and is fully skinnable.

We added an archive of the mailing list and we are waiting for Google to index it.

Null Team together with Sangoma will be present at VON Europe, 24-26 May. Come and visit us at booth 1020. Diana Cionoiu will talk in the "Open Source Telecoms" topic which is between 1.40 - 2.55 pm, May 24th.
